STORIA
DI VERA PASSIONE

In 1966 Emanuele left Italy for Johannesburg, South Africa. Here he started organizing various activities, mainly addressed to Italian "immigrants". But not only: his attention for every type of commitment towards the local "black communities" always involved him deeply making him a key player in the initiatives launched. In 1994 personal reasons forced him to leave South Africa. He said: "I returned home with the joy of those who see an old mother, but with the nostalgia of those who leave a true love" But the strong relation with the “cradle of humanity” could not be broken. The job opportunities did not missed and we therefore he decided to dedicate himself to the business in its personal and unique way. Thanks to a special South African friend born in the world of traditional roofing, he thought of bringing the Reed tile to Italy ...

...The dream became reality with Matteo, who believed in him, his story, and his passion. Busy with his brother Giuseppe in the family carpentry, Matteo bet with Emanuele on this new adventure. Thus they began, simply by combining the metal frames supporting the "Reed" tiles, to sell sun umbrellas and gazebos. But working with enthusiasm looking towards a common horizon eased the difficulties, strengthened the spirits, and forged new ideas ... up to the AFRICA STYLE’s customized solutions we know today. The market recognized the added value of this synergy, the strength of the brand and the team behind. Today we continue to walk towards new frontiers: to create unique places, inspired by African materials, all of our own production in South Africa and Italy. And it is Matteo, discovering an innate inclination for architecture and design, which enhances and transforms every project by mixing these elements with the Made in Italy quality and craftsmanship. All the charm of nature made simple and intuitive thanks to the modularity of the solutions, which makes AFRICASTYLE recognizable and unique in the world
