La Scogliera Restaurant - Isola della Maddalena

The La Scogliera project was born on the island of La Maddalena, Sardinia, and was conceived and created entirely by Africa Style to create a restaurant with a strong identity, capable of engaging with the surrounding natural and marine context. The project included the renovation of a portion of the existing building and the creation of a new outdoor area, designed as a single, coherent and recognizable space. The first area features a custom-made waterproof eucalyptus canopy, enclosed on all sides with sliding glass windows, designed to ensure protection and visual continuity with the exterior year-round. The new area was built on a galvanized iron frame that allows the space to be raised, with larch flooring and custom-made eucalyptus shading huts, elements that recall a natural, Mediterranean aesthetic. Both areas are enriched with Corten steel and stainless steel details, used for infill, parapets and finishes, underlining the contemporary nature of the project. The project is completed by custom furnishings by Africa Style and a custom modular fence, which combines painted iron and eucalyptus in a functional and elegant balance. A turnkey project expressing the Africa Style approach to outdoor design: selected materials, bespoke workmanship and a strong focus on the identity of the place.
