Water-resistance

Cod. Water-resistance

All Africa Style roofing materials are designed to offer a perfect balance between rain protection and natural breathability, a key aspect when using high-quality plant-based materials. Thanks to careful technical design, covers can be configured to achieve high weather resistance. This is done by working on two key elements: a minimum pitch inclination of 30°, which promotes rapid water flow, and a reduction in the spacing between the rows of tiles by up to about 22 cm, thus increasing overlap and limiting direct water entry. Under these conditions, a reduction in permeability of up to 98% is achieved, making the cover extremely high-performance even in heavy rain. Unlike traditional solutions that involve the insertion of waterproof sheets or plastic barriers, the Africa Style system maintains the natural ventilation of the roof intact. This means that air can circulate freely within the structure, avoiding moisture stagnation and preventing deterioration or rotting of the fibers over time. The result is a strong, durable and natural cover, ideal for outdoor projects that require high performance, a strong aesthetic impact and respect for the original characteristics of the materials.
